This problem sprint was designed to be lead by me during the review session where each student gets a chance to solve one problem and then we progress to the next harder question to be solved by the next student.

See if you can get the full extra credit by completing all the randomized problems in this sprint.

Question 1: Explanation:

Given the following problem:

A total of $30,000 was invested in two stocks. At the end of the year, one returned
6% and the other returned 8% on the original investment. How much was invested
in each stock if the total profit was $2,160? [Ratti et. al. 2024]

explain the solution as if you are teaching it to a fellow student

your explanation should be clear and detailed

any formulas or methods used should be named and cited (book, section,
webpage, or wherever it is from)

your typed or handwritten response should be in a separate 1-page document

Question 2: Reflection:

prompt the following question to your favorite
language simulator (i.e., MonarchMind, Duck.ai, Pearson book AI, Copi-
lot, etc.). State which one you used and print the prompt and response
in a separate attached page. In a separate 1-page document, write a
∼200 words response with your reflection on the accuracy and quality of
the response. How would you compare the response to the book, tutor,
or a classroom explanation?

Problems and Rubric

Problems and Rubric

The practice problems are below with a rubric for evaluation. The test will use 10 problems from a similar set.
